In milling operations, teflon processing requires the use of sharp edges to operate at a speed of about 9000 rpm, always with a positive cut. Cutting slags are the only real problem of a material that lends itself well to precision machining, leaving it relatively easy to cut.
Finishing on the pieces must be carried out by maintaining the speed of the cutter at high rotation speeds, but not sinking slightly with the cut; Given its chemical composition, this material tends to “snap” easily. The use of Teflon as an element of gears and mechanical parts is due to its stability and lightness, allowing the installation of mechanical elements capable of providing little friction and minimal inertia of the weights. Even in the field of electronics, the teflon allows small spacers or insulating elements inside the electric slots, relying on the absolute lack of conductivity of this material.
