The galvanizing in CNC machines

In CNC machines, the galvanizing is the process by which it is applied a zinc coating on a metal object, to protect it from galvanic corrosion. Generally coats the steel: being electronegative, and then that is less noble than steel, carries a cap for electrochemical action also called cathodic protection. Furthermore, forms a barrier that isolates the steel from atmospheric agents.

Not used CNC machining CNC machines for this process, but it is treated in the traditional way. One can distinguish various forms of galvanizing:
• Hot
• continuous hot.
• Electrolytic;
• cold;
• spray.

In the first case, we proceed by immersing the sheets or the products to be treated in tanks containing molten zinc at a temperature of about 450 ° C. That is continuous hot as the previous one, but is performed on tapes or steel wires that allow to manage many pieces.
The electrolytic galvanizing is achieved by immersing the material in an electrolytic solution that contains salts of zinc. Finally it creates a current flow that makes deposit the zinc metal on the workpiece surface.
That cold is not a galvanizing in the strict sense of the term, but it is more comparable to a painting of the bottom, while the spray provides that the molten zinc, finely pulverized, is sprayed on the steel surface, previously sandblasted to white metal
